The grouse hunting season begins when autumn shows its maximum colour and splendour.

Storhogna is located is 470 km from Stockholm. Good roads all the way via the E4 to Tönnebro, on through the beautiful province of Hälsingland along the river Ljusnan, into the province of Härjedalen towards Vemdalen and finally to Storhogna in the province of Jämtland.
Or by air (From Gothenburg, Malmö, Ängelholm and Stockholm) to Östersund where taxi transfers at a fixed price are available.
